Commentary (टीका)
This verse delves into the profound aspects of spiritual progress. Vairāgya or dispassion reaches its peak when desires do not arise even in the presence of enjoyables. Similarly, the pinnacle of bodha, or enlightenment, is the absence of the arising sense of ego. Furthermore, when the activities of the mind become absorbed, leading to the non-arising of new thoughts, it signifies a state of uparati. This sloka points towards the ultimate states of 'vairāgya', 'bodha', and 'uparati', emphasizing an advanced level of spiritual attainment where the shackles of desires, ego, and mental restlessness have been transcended.
