Commentary (टीका)

This verse emphasizes the importance of proactive effort in achieving liberation from the bonds of worldly existence, akin to the diligent efforts made by the wise in curing diseases. The *paṇḍitas*, or wise individuals, serve as a model for how one should apply diligence and self-driven effort (*svair*) in the pursuit of spiritual goals. The verse underscores that just as healing a disease requires focused and persistent action, so does the path to liberation.
