साध्याविशिष्टः साध्यत्वात्साध्यसमः

यह सूत्र बताता है कि जो वस्तु साध्य (जिसे सिद्ध करना है) से विशेषित है, वह साध्यत्व के कारण साध्य के समान मानी जाती है। अर्थात्, जिस पर साध्य का गुण आरोपित है, वह साध्य के समान ही तर्क में गिनी जाती है।

English

This sūtra states that whatever is qualified by the sādhya (the property to be established) is, by virtue of possessing sādhyatva (the state of being sādhya), considered equivalent to sādhya itself. In other words, in reasoning, that which bears the quality of sādhya is treated as being on par with sādhya.
