यस्मात् प्रकरणचिन्ता स निर्णयार्थमपदिष्टः प्रकरणसमः

इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जिस कारण से प्रसंग की विचारणा होती है, वह निर्णय प्राप्त करने के लिए होती है। यदि कोई बात स्पष्ट रूप से नहीं कही गई है, तो उसे उस प्रसंग के अनुरूप ही माना जाता है। अर्थात्, जो बात प्रत्यक्ष रूप से नहीं कही गई है, वह प्रसंग के अनुसार समझी जाती है।

This sūtra states that the consideration of the context is undertaken for the purpose of arriving at a determination. If something is not explicitly mentioned, it should be understood in accordance with the context. In other words, what is not directly stated is interpreted as being similar to the topic or context under discussion.
