न प्रदीपप्रकाशवत् तत्सिद्धेः

इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि किसी विशेष विषय के लिए 'दीपक के प्रकाश' जैसी उपमा उपयुक्त नहीं है, क्योंकि उस वस्तु की पहले ही सिद्धि हो चुकी है। अर्थात्, जिस प्रकार दीपक के प्रकाश का उदाहरण यहाँ लागू नहीं होता, वैसे ही यहाँ उपमा का प्रयोग असंगत है; इसका कारण यह है कि जिस विषय की चर्चा है, वह पहले ही प्रमाणित हो चुका है।

English

This sūtra states that the analogy of "the light of a lamp" is not applicable in the present context, because the thing in question has already been established. In other words, just as the example of a lamp's light does not fit here, the use of such an analogy is inappropriate, since the subject under discussion is already ascertained.
