इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि किसी कथन का पुनः उल्लेख (अनुवाद) तभी संभव है जब उसके लिए तर्क या प्रमाण (उपपत्ति) उपलब्ध हो। अर्थात, जब कोई बात तर्क द्वारा प्रमाणित होती है, तभी उसका पुनः उल्लेख किया जा सकता है।
