इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जब कारण की उपस्थिति का अनुभव होता है और सत्य तथा प्रधान के भेद को समझा जाता है, तब भ्रान्ति (मिथ्या-बुद्धि) की द्वैधता (दो प्रकार की भ्रान्ति) की सिद्धि होती है। अर्थात्, मिथ्या ज्ञान दो प्रकार का हो सकता है—एक तो कारण की उपस्थिति के अनुभव के कारण और दूसरा तत्त्व तथा प्रधान के भेद के कारण। &lt;br /&gt;

This sūtra states that the duality of erroneous cognition is established due to the apprehension of the presence of the cause and the distinction between reality and predominance. In other words, erroneous cognition can be of two kinds: one arising from the apprehension of the presence of a cause, and the other from the distinction between reality and what is predominant. Thus, the sūtra explains the twofold nature of error in cognition.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
