इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि यदि कोई तर्क या लक्षण स्वयं साध्य (जिसे सिद्ध करना है) के स्वरूप का हो, तो वह प्रमाण या हेत्व नहीं हो सकता। अर्थात्, जो चीज़ सिद्ध की जानी है, वही अगर कारण के रूप में प्रस्तुत हो, तो वह कारण नहीं मानी जाएगी। यह न्यायशास्त्र में हेत्वाभास (कथित कारण) की एक विशेषता बताई गई है।&lt;br /&gt;

This sūtra states that if a reason (hetu) is of the same nature as the sādhya (the proposition to be proved), it cannot serve as a valid reason. In other words, when the very thing to be established is presented as the reason, it is not considered a proper reason. This is an important criterion in Nyāya for identifying fallacious reasons (hetvābhāsa).&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
