इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि दूध के नष्ट होने की पुष्टि, ठीक वैसे ही होती है जैसे उसके कारण (दूध) की अनुपलब्धि या दही के उत्पन्न होने से होती है। अर्थात् जब दूध दिखाई नहीं देता या दही उत्पन्न हो जाता है, तब दूध के नष्ट होने की पुष्टि होती है। यह न्याय में कार्य-कारण संबंध और वस्तु के अभाव की पहचान के सिद्धांत को स्पष्ट करता है।

This sūtra states that the destruction of milk is established in the same manner as the non-perception of its cause or the production of curd. That is, when milk is no longer perceived or when curd comes into existence, the destruction of milk is confirmed. This illustrates the Nyāya principle of recognizing the absence of an entity through the absence of its cause or the emergence of its effect.
