इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जैसे द्रव्य (पदार्थ) के विकारों में असमानता (वैषम्य) के आधार पर भेद किया जाता है, वैसे ही वर्ण (रंग) के विकारों में भी विभिन्नता या भेद पाया जाता है। अर्थात्, रंग के रूपांतरणों में भी उसी प्रकार भिन्नता देखी जाती है जैसे द्रव्य के रूपांतरणों में असमानता के आधार पर भेद किया जाता है।

This sūtra states that just as distinctions among modifications of substance are made based on inequality, so too, distinctions among modifications of color are recognized. That is, the variations or transformations of color are differentiated in the same way as the modifications of substance are distinguished by their disparities.
