इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जब कारण का उपदेश (हेत्वपदेश) किया जाता है, तब प्रतिज्ञा (मुख्य कथन) का पुनः कथन किया जाता है, और यही पुनर्वचन निगमन (निष्कर्ष) कहलाता है। अर्थात्, तर्क प्रक्रिया में निष्कर्ष वही है जिसमें प्रतिज्ञा को कारण के आधार पर फिर से दोहराया जाता है।
