The ego (*ahaṅkāra*) wrongly attaches itself to changing mental phenomena (*vikārātmani*), leading to a false identification that is the root cause of the cycle of birth and suffering (*saṁsṛti*). True liberation is found in recognizing oneself as the reflection of the pure, immutable consciousness (*caitanya*), which is inherently blissful (*sukha*). By breaking this delusion, one can transcend the miseries associated with birth, death, and decay, and achieve spiritual freedom.&lt;br /&gt;
