=== Commentary (टीका) ===

In this verse, the knowledge that is being referred to is self-knowledge or *ātmabhodhana*, which dispels all delusions or misinterpretations like the one that Arjuna was suffering from at the beginning. This unique knowledge integrates all dualities and misconceptions into a single understanding of unity. Swami Sivananda explains that through acquiring this knowledge from an enlightened Guru, one is able to see all beings as extensions of one's own Self and also as part of the divine presence of Brahman ('ātmani atho mayi'). Swami Ramsukhdas further elucidates that true comprehension of the self is beyond senses and language; it transforms Viveka – discrimination between real and unreal – into true enlightenment. Once this knowledge is attained, Arjuna will no longer be confused, and he will perceive all beings within himself and the Divine. The analogy here relates to a person awakening from a dream and recognizing the oneness of their existence. It stresses that the worldly perceptions are illusions in the sansara, which are dissolved with the realization of one's true Self and its complete divine nature (sattva).
