=== Commentary (टीका) ===
In this verse, the concept of oneness or unity with the Divine is expounded. The one who sees *mām* (Me) everywhere and everything in *mayi* (Me) achieves the ultimate unity with God. The mutual presence of the devotee and God signifies non-separation: neither does God lose sight of the devotee, nor does the devotee lose connection with God. Swami Sivananda describes this as a vision of the unity of Self – realizing that all beings are manifestations of the divine, and realizing the presence of the divine in all. When the devotee perceives this, neither is there a loss of divine connection, nor is there a separation from the inner divine presence.

Swami Ramsukhdas further illustrates this through an anecdote of Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa, demonstrating that when one perceives divinity in every situation and being, separation vanishes, reinforcing the union of the devotee with divinity. This unity indicates that God is ever-present to the devotee, and vice-versa, emphasizing that while God is inherently omnipresent and omniscient, the reciprocal nature of divine perception is fulfilled when the devotee's vision aligns with this truth of oneness. 

In essence, this śloka underlines the transformational vision characterized by spiritual wisdom, which dissolves the illusion of separation and manifests inner unity with the divine.
